ANGLESEA MUSIC FESTIVAL

Performers applications are now open and will close 30th June 2013 with the announcement of the full line up in August.No late applications will be accepted.


Early Bird tickets will be available from 15th July until the 30th August 2013 unless sold out.



It may be hard to believe that this Not For Profit Community Event is only in its 4th year. Voted the third best festival in Australia by the Limelight magazine and receiving Australia Day 2013 Community Event Of The Year from the Surf Coast Shire this event has something for everyone.

Each year AMF has a Headliner Artist- 2010 Shane Howard-Goanna, 2011 Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows, 2012 Ross Wilson and The Peaceniks and shortly 2013 Headliner Artist/s will be announced

We would like to especially thank all artists, sponsors, Oxygen College, Anglesea Hotel, venues, MC's, volunteers, bus drivers, sound engineers, traders, equipment hirer-Occasions Party Hire, Geelong Coastal Hire etc, and of course the 5000+ festival attendees. Your support makes AMF a captivating and exciting event and is directly responsible for the event success. Its a shared journey by all.

The Festival has again came up with a new concept and an exciting footprint offering a village hub of entertainment. AMF will present some amazing acts with a mixed line-up of local, regional, national and international acts and the household names of tomorrow. New additions(relying on possible funding) will be a comedy section, the new addition of the buskers competition offering cash prizes by public vote. AMF 2013 will also see a strong focus on the Youth with the development of a 'Youth Entertainment Hub offering old fashioned carnival activities. Something for the families.

Offering

Performers, main venues, precinct fringe venue and buskers locations all within easy walking distance for the festival attendees to enjoy the ambience of the surrounds.

Hands on, creative, inspirational, innovative workshops presented by renowned musicians and this is all included in the price of your ticket.You can also be part of the Gospel workshop and join others on stage to be part of the gospel Sunday Morning.

The 'It's Your Time' buskers competition with cash prizes up for grabs will be a new inclusion into the festival.

The Youth Marquee offering talented youth performers along with some childrens' entertainment.

The new innovative kick starter program will continue to focus on empowering creative people to have a go in an industry that is so hard to break into and to gain the necessary skills to pursue a career providing training in performance/composition and sound production. Utilizing Anglesea Music Festival as a stepping stone to developing careers, both in sound engineering and performance gaining hands on experience, training in a festival environment.

AMF 2013 will also see a strong focus on the Youth with the development of a 'Youth Entertainment Hub offering old fashioned carnival fun etc. Something for the families.

Working on the addition of a comedy section will also enhance the festival experience and open up another genre of performing arts to the program.

We are trying to introduce a bus service from Torquay to Aireys which will be another initiative to the program and create more people attending.

A market offering arts and craft with a multicultural food court offering undercover seating.

The New Exciting LP Buskers Stage as well as a collection of buskers areas throughout the market precinct.

Vanessa Bus is an all road safety warrior and is your friend at the festival. She can even give you a free breath test, she is there to help people get their chill on, party safe, and get home in one piece.

The Streetsurfer bus is an exciting initiative that involves Victorian Local Police. The bus is fitted with laptops with wireless internet access, electronic game equipment (PS3 & Wii), large flat screen monitors, sound system, sports equipment, BBQ/fridge and provides an area where young people can talk to a youth worker and access information.

It's sure to be a captivating and exciting event, which will offer something for everyone.

This is a great showcase of the township of Anglesea and all it has to offer.Check out the beautiful surrounds while your here from the main Anglesea Surf Beach or to the calmer, sheltered waters of Point Roadknight Bay and the Anglesea River. Offering boundless opportunities for surfing, swimming, boating, fishing, rock pooling, bush and beach walks.

Also on offer are great shops, cafes and restaurants as well as bowling, surf, golf and tennis clubs. Anglesea is where the bush meets the sea and is well known for its Eastern Grey Kangaroos. This is a Festival in beautiful natural surrounds.
